Dear Parents and Carers

NEU Day of action – Wednesday 1 February 2023
The school will be closed to all students on this day

Since my letter of 19 January 2023, we have received additional information from NEU members, which now makes it impossible to open the school to students on 1 February 2023.

The dispute is at national level, between the public sector unions and the government, and is not between our staff and the school. Obviously, my primary concern is for the safety of the students and this has driven my decision to close the school.

Students should continue with their studies at home and English, Maths and Science work will be signposted via Bromcom. Please check that your child can login to Bromcom to access their work. Any problems please contact ictsupport@bourne.org.uk or ask your child to visit the IT department at break or lunchtime.

Please be assured that this decision has not been taken lightly and accept my apologies for any inconvenience which it causes to your family.
