Dear parents, carers and pupils, I hope you are enjoying the new term with less disruption than last year. The reality is that, while you and your school continue to remain vigilant, Covid-19 is still in our communities and cases in West Sussex schools are very high and rising. We need to keep working […]

πͺπΈπ¬π§ We were delighted to welcome a group of History & Geography teachers from Madrid, Spain to Bourne Community College for a day experiencing life at our school in partnership with The University of Chichester.
During their visit, they had the opportunity to observe lessons, meet our staff and students, and gain an insight into teaching and learning at Bourne. It was a fantastic opportunity to share ideas, celebrate different cultures, and strengthen international connections.
Thank you for visiting us. We hope you enjoyed your time at Bourne and wish you a safe journey home!
A huge well done to two of our fantastic Year 7 artists, Olivia E and Freya E, who have been recognised for their commitment, focus and the outstanding quality of their work throughout this year. π¨β¨
Keep up the amazing work. We canβt wait to see what you create next! π
Today weβre saying goodbye to our fantastic trainee PE teachers, Mr Sears and Miss Peachey, as they come to the end of their placement at Bourne Community College. ππ

Our final Year 7 Art project of the summer term is here, and itβs a fun one! π§’π¨
Students are designing and decorating their own hats ready for Sports Day. During the teacher demonstration, they were reminded how to carefully plan their lettering by counting the letters and sketching everything out in pencil before adding colour.
The excitement and enthusiasm in the classroom was amazing, and we canβt wait to see the finished designs and all of our Year 7 students proudly wearing their personalised creations on Sports Day!
Well done, Year 7! π
A huge thank you to Mrs Tibbetts, Mrs Murray-Brown and our Finance Team for helping make this project possible.
To round off the summer term, our Year 7 students have completed their Pictorial Space project, exploring how to draw and paint to create distance and depth in their artwork. π¨π
The final challenge was a stunning watercolour landscape painting, and today 7U proudly presented an incredible collection of finished pieces. The creativity, effort and progress on display have been fantastic.
We are so proud of all our Year 7 students and everything they have achieved in Art this year. Well done to everyone involved! π
Students will be bringing their artwork home over the next week, so keep an eye out for these brilliant creations.
The College will be open from 5.00-8.00pm, when we will be delighted to meet both parents and children. All guests are welcome to take this opportunity to visit departments and talk to staff and students.
