Year 9 student, Vanita, decided to run a whole Marathon in a fortnight for her chosen charity. She started 15th Feb to raise vital funds for Myeloma UK
“Vanita only took up running during lockdown to keep up her fitness levels for gymnastics and pushed herself heaps!” said mum, Vicky.
“Multiple Myeloma is a very rare form of blood cancer which devastatingly her Auntie Helen was diagnosed with and has been fighting her battle courageously for well over two years now, after only being given 5 days to live!
Thanks to the work of Myeloma Uk they have managed to create new treatments to keep people alive and this is why Vanita chose to help. It doesn’t get enough exposure or funding like other forms of cancer because it is so rare and relies heavily on donations.
Please continue to show your support to Vanita and sponsor her anything you can and in return she will be eternally grateful.”
